Cold!

This past week has been really cold. I feel the cold much more easily than the rest of my family, and spend most of my days under blankets, by the heater, or wearing down jackets. If I could relearn how to knit (Aunt Joni? ;) ) I’d make myself a pair of muffitees- might help keep my hands warm and my fingers available.

It’s been a long time since I posted, but I’ve been somewhat busy. Krissy visited last Friday and we had a swell time. We took some pictures, including a few of my beautiful new hairsticks. (I was given them for Christmas by a lady on one of my forums!)

Saturday I spent the night at Mal’s. It’s crazy, I have had very little social interaction for a few months now, and suddenly I had two sleepovers in one weekend! Whew! The major event of staying at Mal’s occured when she, her thirteen year old brother (Drew), his friend Nathan, and I discovered and successfully harvested a ten foot icicle. No joke. When it fell it broke into pieces, and we didn’t get all of them, but we laid it out as a paleontologist might with bones and measured, and it was no less than ten feet. Very cool.

Today I have chorus. It should be fun! I’m not sure if I mentioned that I have officially been given the part of Phyllis- the soprano lead. It’s really exciting. I wanted Phyllis from the beginning, but was unsure if I would have a part of any sort, due to the large number of girls and the fact that I am only homeschooled.

Have a wonderful day, everyone, and keep warm. Yesterday it was five degrees- how warm! (As compared to last week. :P ) Perhaps it’ll be even better today.

Hannah, love the hair sticks! Can you hold your bun in back with them or is your hair to heavy? Anytime you want to come and get warm by the wood stove and bring some knitting you are very welcome! I too have trouble being warm and am very thankful for the hot tub and wood stove. So bring your bathing suit and get in the hot tub – after you get out you’ll feel to warm for a while. Bring your knitting and we’ll have a cozy time by the fire. I’ll make hot cocoa. btw – I’m serious. Love, Aunt Joni

Yay! I love those pictures. Your hair is so pretty. =)
I know! I have been literally crouched in front of the heater in my room all the time and I only move when I have to. It’s pretty sad. I haven’t even been skating or sledding or anything because it’s way too cold to go outside.

Aunt Joni, I might have to take you up on that. I need to return your Pride and Prejudice book, too!
Thanks Ted and Krissy, and wow, Son. Good quote by the way- we have the Bellmaker sitting in our bathroom. I love Blaggut. :P
