dé·jà vu

I spent the night at Krissy’s house last night, after a swing dance. This morning when we got up, we went about the chores, but I was just getting in the way as Krissy tried to hang up the wash. So, jokingly, she said, “Oh, just go play on the rope swing.” I thought, “why not” and ran off to do so. If you’ve read the post I linked to above, you’d think I’d have learned by now. But no. On about my fourth turn, I swung out over the ditch and the rope snapped. Unfortunately the swing is situated above a hill. I feel a few feet, still moving forward, and landed very hard, flat on my back, scraping through saplings and leaves along the way. I was really taken off guard, and it was only after I landed that I shrieked to let Krissy know something was up. She dashed down the slope, where I had got myself up and was leaning against a tree, completely winded. It was not a pleasant sensation- hurt rather a lot. …and still does. >.< I came home a little earlier than expected, and though I don’t think I need to see a doctor, I’m not exactly up to exersize, either. I’m pretty scraped up, and my back hurts quite a bit. I have to laugh, though. Krissy’s family used to have two rope swings- well, now they have none. I brought home the rope this time. I don’t know if I vanquished it or it vanquished me, but either way I have my trophy.
