I might’ve mentioned a while ago that when I was last at Grammie’s I took the measurements and made my first rough bodice draft. Since then I’ve put in about ten-fifteen hours on it, and today I think I perfected it. It’s so exciting…I’ve gone through a lot with this thing, and though it doesn’t look like much, I’m really happy with it.
This bodice is right for the formal I’m doing (Lord willing) based on Arwen’s LGB (a dress that doesn’t show up in the films that I really like), and also Eowyn’s white wool, which is my ultimate goal. At this point I think I’m ready to move on to drafting sleeves and skirt…which means I have to decide what dress I’m working on. WW, formal, or the Reforging gown from RotK? Or a White Witch costume for Narnia premiere? Decisions, decisions!
Anyway. I wanted to post a few pictures of the bodice. I’m also posting a picture the 9891 I did a while back…finally took a few. The proportions are off a bit because I’m taking the shot from above.

White which costume you’d have to work mighty fast…the thing opens in like 3 weeks! Hooray!
Your draft looked really good when I saw it yesterday!
