Drama

Had class today, and it was really great. I was originally worried about the fact that none of the kids who’ve been doing it forever would be in it…but having Anna there is fun, and since most of us don’t know each other too well, there’s no nervousness, and we’re all just having a blast.
Today, Anna was my partner, and we did an exersize that concentrated conveying a plot without using English. We chose an emotion, either angry, sad, or enthusiastic, then created a short scene. Anna and I chose angry, and in our scene, I was the mother showing Anna, my daughter, her report card. Anna was shocked to see she’d recieved all Fs, I tell her off, she gets angry, blames me, I keep blaming her, until I scream that she’s grounded until she gets her grades up.
We first performed it in gibberish. In other words, we went through it, doing all the blocking and motions, but saying nothing but utter nonsense. Much to our pleasure, David and the others understood the scene very well without us speaking a word of English. Then we did the scene spoken, and it went really well. I got so into it I (yet again) nearly forgot about the people in front of us, and really started bellowing at Anna. I wonder what the librarians though. :P She retaliated equally loudly. It was so fun.

Is that Warenkids??? I thought the stupid new management had cut the funding and you wouldn’t be able to do it. I’m really glad you still get to; it sounds like fun! =D So random story: we ran into my cousins at borders today, so we ended up going to their house for the afternoon. We dug a bunch of beanie babies out of a drawer, and they became a barbershop quintet that performad such acclaimed choral pieces as “We Wish You a Merry Chrismas” and “Hot Cross Buns” in improvised 4 part harmony. It was extreamly amusing. =)8

^Teeheehee it was such a blast!
Yeah, I bet librarians would NOT be happy about you yelling in the library! Sounds like a ton of fun, though!!! =)

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. :D
Yeah, it’s Warrenkids…see, the library had cut the funding to half, and we had to raise money for a term or two, but for some reason unbeknownst to me they are sponsoring again. I’m so sick of the new board. One of the old librarians is there, though, so I always go to her. :D
